Who is this seminar for?

You work in projects as a tester, test analyst or quality assurance specialist and have already successfully completed the ISTQB® Foundation Level. You want to systematically expand your specialist test design, derive complex test case scenarios in a structured way and test quality characteristics in a targeted manner.

Prerequisites

The certification is aimed at holders of the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level. Syllabus 4.0 additionally recommends a minimum of practical experience – around six months as a system or acceptance tester or as a software developer – as well as attending an accredited course. The seminar content builds directly on Foundation-level knowledge.

Content per syllabus 4.0

• Tasks of the test analyst in the test process: testing throughout the software development lifecycle, contribution to test analysis, design, implementation and execution, working with testware (abstract and concrete test cases, quality criteria)
• Risk-based testing from the test analyst's perspective: risk analysis and risk control within their own area of responsibility
• Test analysis and design: data-based, behaviour-based and rule-based test techniques, experience-based testing and selecting the most suitable techniques
• Testing quality characteristics: functional testing, usability testing, flexibility testing and compatibility testing
• Defect prevention in software: defect prevention practices, supporting in-phase defect containment, reducing the recurrence of defects
