Who is this seminar for?
You take responsibility for the test activities in a project – as a test manager, test coordinator, QA lead or project manager with a QA remit. You want to master the formal tasks around test strategy, test planning and risk orientation, and qualify for the internationally recognised certification.
Prerequisites
For the certification exam, ISTQB® requires the Foundation Level certificate as well as at least 18 months of practical professional experience in a testing or project environment. The seminar content builds directly on the Foundation Level knowledge.
Content per syllabus 3.0
- Test process: test planning, test monitoring and control, test analysis, test design, test implementation, test execution, test completion
- Test management: testing in context, risk-based testing, other test strategies, test process improvement
- Reviews: management aspects of reviews, metrics for reviews, handling review results
- Defect management: defect life cycle, defect management in the project context, defect communication
- Test process improvement: models such as TPI Next®, TMMi, ISO/IEC 33063 and improvement approaches
- Test tools and automation: selection, introduction and cost-effectiveness of test tools
- People skills: team building, soft skills, motivation, conflict management

The optional certification exam is held online afterwards through the accredited examination body iSQI®. The exam fee is 270 € plus VAT and can be added during booking.
